leave behind rotting food, furniture, even pets.
Potential buyers go through a house and can’t get past the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the carpet, or it’s been so long since the windows were cleaned that the whole place seems dreary. A house that has obviously not been taken care of is going to turn off buyers.
Empty houses are targets for vandalism.
